UPDATE: Because of heavy rains on Friday night, April 22,, the East Carolina University baseball and softball games have been postponed and will be played at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23. The fireworks scheduled for Friday night will be held April 29 after the ECU vs. Cincinnati baseball game.

East Carolina University has planned a number of fun events in conjunction with the baseball and softball games this weekend, from fireworks to yoga in the outfield.


ECU vs. UConn baseball

 Friday, 6:30 p.m.: A fireworks show will be held at Clark-LeClair Stadium shortly after the game is over.
 The Jungle area behind right field will be cleared for safety, and all traffic along the service road from the Purple Lot to Clark-LeClair Stadium will be halted during the show.
 If inclement weather develops, the fireworks show will be canceled.
 Friday also is ECU Employee Appreciation Day. Employees of East Carolina University can purchase unlimited $3 tickets to the game by presenting their ECU1 Card.
 Saturday, 4 p.m.: Come out early to see the 2 p.m. softball game, because a $4 ticket will get you into both the baseball and softball games. Tickets may be purchased at both stadium locations.
  Sunday, 12:30 p.m.: For Youth Baseball Day, youth players ages 12 and under who wear their team jerseys will be admitted to the game for $2. There also will be post-game autographs and kids run the bases.
 

ECU Softball vs. Houston

  Friday, 6 p.m.: Free purple and gold pom-poms for the first 250 fans in attendance.
 It's also Pitt County School District Staff Appreciation Day, with $2 tickets when you present a staff ID.
  Saturday, 2 p.m.: Get into both softball and baseball games for $4; tickets may be purchased at both stadium locations.
 Yoga in the Outfield will be held following the game. Fans must bring their own yoga mats.
  Sunday, 11 a.m.: For Paint It Purple and Senior Day, the first 100 fans will receive a free purple ECU koozie. There also will be pregame recognition of the senior class and post-game autographs.
